Key Facts

Our structure

  • The Test Engineering Society registered accounts (at start-up) derives from a merger of the Vivit Worldwide, Test Management Forum, Technology Leadership Forum, and Technology Knowledge Base memberships and mailing lists. This start-up membership comprised over 30,000 Test Engineering professionals in over 70 countries.
  • The Society is registered as a not-for-profit company, limited by guarantee in England and Wales (No. 14893464).
  • The Society members operate 70 Regional Interest Groups and 22 Technical Specialist Interest Groups.
  • The the Society was formed in June 2023 by a merger of the Vivit Worldwide organisation and the Test Management Forum and Technology Leadership Forum specialist interest groups in the UK.

What we do

Safeguarding professional standards

Delivering world-class knowledge products and services

  • We intend to publish technical articles, papers and news bulletins.
  • Over 90 regional and specialist interest groups exist to stage events (online and location-based) covering the full spectrum of reliable information, industry-leading events and access to expertise across the the Society’s engineering and technology areas.

Providing a professional home for life for engineers and technicians 

  • We offer professional designations of Member (MTES) and Fellow (FTES) of the Test Engineering Society.
  • We deliver tailored membership packages to professional Test Engineers, relevant to their career stage.

Recognising and promoting excellence

  • We will establish an awards programme for individual excellence, research and innovation in the Test Engineering sector.

Inspiring the next generation

  • We intend to raise awareness of the important of Test Engineering in schools and colleges and promote the the Society and test engineering disciplines to a younger audience.
