What is Professional Registration?

Page Status: Draft

Professional Registration is a significant milestone in your career and is accessible to all Test Engineers.

As an engineer, numerous benefits come with achieving professional registration. Professional Registration signifies that you have attained an internationally acknowledged standard of competence and confirms your dedication to maintaining that competence in the future.

Watch the videos below and listen to recent registrants discuss how obtaining Professional Registration has positively impacted their careers.

Benefits of Professional Registration

  • Use of an internationally protected title, e.g. Chartered Engineer (CEng).
  • Recognition that you have achieved a certain level of competency in your field.
  • Improved career opportunities and salary prospects.  Having this credential can open up new career opportunities and potentially lead to higher salaries and more challenging work.
  • Greater influencer within your organisation.  It demonstrates to employers and clients that you have the skills and knowledge necessary to perform your job at a high level.
  • Opportunities to connect with influential and inspirational people.
  • International recognition of your professional competence and commitment. Professional registration typically requires adherence to a code of ethics, which can help ensure that you are practicing engineering in a responsible and ethical manner. This can help build trust with clients and stakeholders and further enhance your professional reputation.

Three categories of Professional Registration

We intend to become licensed to grant four categories of Professional Registration:
